Decking Removal Wilshire/La Brea Ends July 8 Weekend

Summary 

Continuing until the July 8 to July 11 weekend, the design-builder will remove the concrete deck panels on Wilshire Bl between Orange Dr and La Brea Av. This work will begin on Friday night at 9pm and continue through 6am the following Monday. An implementation schedule can be found below. Wilshire Bl between Highland Av and La Brea Av will be closed to all through traffic each weekend.

Detour Route 

• Eastbound Wilshire Bl Detour: Eastbound Wilshire Bl > Northbound La Brea Av > Eastbound 6th St. > Southbound Highland Av > Eastbound Wilshire Bl. 

• Westbound Wilshire Bl Detour: Westbound Wilshire Bl > Northbound Highland Av > Westbound 6th St. > Southbound La Brea Av > Westbound Wilshire Bl. 

Access 

• Access for emergency vehicles and first responders will be maintained. 

• Local access to Wilshire Bl will be maintained at Mansfield Av and Citrus Av. 

• Access to the BMW Service Center will be maintained from Sycamore Av and Orange Dr.

Metro Access 

Metro bus stops may be relocated, or lines could be impacted. For information changes to Metro service, please call 323.GoMetro. Passengers are encouraged to use the Transit App to plan their travels. 
 

Noteworthy 

• All work has received necessary permits and approvals. 

• Access for pedestrians will be maintained outside of the construction zone.
